The Institution provides lecturers, speakers and other resources to develop the knowledge and experience of the membership. We operate as an autonomous Institution and encourage and promote participation.
Founded in 1808, Paisley Philosophical Institution continues to play an important part in Paisley's cultural life. Over the years we have been involved in founding other organisations, including Paisley Free Museum and Library and Paisley Technological College, now University of West of Scotland
We run talks between September and March each year. These will resume in September 2025. We also collaborate with others from time to time. Please click below for list of upcoming and historic talks.
